Bentley and Tata Projects support infrastructure skills development

Bentley Systems, the infrastructure engineering software company, announced a collaboration with Tata Projects, an engineering, procurement and construction company in India, to support industry-academia engagement and help prepare infrastructure professionals.

The collaboration was formalized through a non-commercial memorandum of understanding signed by senior leaders from both organizations. Through the agreement, Bentley and Tata Projects will work together to connect classroom learning with industry practice by giving university students exposure to infrastructure engineering workflows, project requirements and digital technologies used across the infrastructure lifecycle.

The initial pilot will be implemented with COEP Technological University in Pune, creating a model for possible broader academic engagement. The initiative builds on Bentley’s digital engineering education work in India and supports experiential learning pathways connecting students, educators and industry practitioners.

Under the agreement, Bentley and Tata Projects will review and update learning content to align with industry requirements; co-deliver specialized training programs for students; integrate engineering projects, datasets, case studies and problem statements into learning experiences; and support industry guest lectures, project site visits, student mentoring, project reviews, assessments, internships and future talent pipeline development initiatives.

As part of Bentley’s education efforts, the collaboration is intended to help institutions and students engage with the tools, processes and challenges involved in infrastructure design, construction and operations. For Tata Projects, the initiative supports skills development and workforce preparation for India’s infrastructure sector.
